Are you ready to start speaking Korean confidently?

Are you fed up with watching countless Korean language Youtube videos, Instagram posts and trying to learn Korean on your own?

Walking away from language classes and language exchanges feeling inadequate, frustrated, and disappointed

You are dying to learn Korean but not sure where exactly to start?

You are wasting time studying (the wrong way) useless grammar, flashcards, and not improving?

Is that your Korean reality?

You can keep trying to figure things out on your own but the truth is...you are learning one of the hardest languages in the world.

So my question for you is: how are you going to take  responsibility for your own Korean so you can be on your way to fluency?

안녕하세요! 저는 한국어 선생님 네이뜬입니다! 반거워요!

My name is Nathan and I have been speaking Korean for the past 12 years. My Korean journey all started when I decided to have my parents send me to a Korean school in Los Angeles, California. I dreamed of being multilingual as a young typical African-American teenager growing up in the suburbs.

What a lot of people don´t know about my story is that I used learning Korean as a way to escape my abusive household and create a new life for myself abroad. Korean allowed me to get job opportunities, get accepted to one of the top universities in Korea, and make long lasting meaningful relationships.

Although I learned Korean as a teenager a huge part of my Korean study was done on my own through a lot of trial & error, determination, and struggle. From embarrassing encounters, pronunciation struggles, job interviews, awkward social situations, and so much more.

Korean for me is not just my second language but also a huge part of my life. I decided to become a Korean language coach because I know personally the struggles Korean language learners face. I am an expert at explaining complicated Korean grammar in an easy to understand way.

I want to help you develop the Korean confidence and skills you need. My goal at SmarterKorean is to help guide and support you to become a true Korean speaker.

After the first session I was on fire! I completed his course and worked hard daily to Go Independent From Scratch!' And I have done just that. Five Apple ESL launched Q1 of 2020! I am running my own business and doing what I love on my terms. No more fear of the wrong feedback plummeting my ranking and ruining my income. I am the business and I learned it all from Nate! Thank you! There are other offerings out there BUT what I received from Nate was not only skill, but inspiration. I also received support throughout the process. I highly recommend working with Nate if it is your desire to Go Independent From Scratch!

My name is Nathan and I have been speaking Korean for the past 15 years. My Korean journey all started when I decided to have my parents send me to a Korean school in Los Angeles, California at the age of 14. I dreamed of being multilingual as a young typical African-American teenager growing up in the suburbs.

What a lot of people don´t know about my story is that I used learning Korean as a way to escape my abusive household and create a new life for myself abroad. Korean allowed me to get job opportunities, get accepted to one of the top universities in South Korea, travel the world and make long lasting meaningful relationships.

Although I learned Korean as a teenager a huge part of my Korean study was done on my own through a lot of trial & error, determination, and real struggle. I went through both the American and South Korean education system.

What my students have to say:

Hi, I’m Danielle, and this is my son, Chance. We’re from Virginia and Texas, respectively. Both of us are proud Army brats.

Our Korean Language Journey

Before we found SmarterKorean, Chance casually mentioned that he had "a slight interest in possibly learning Korean." His words, not mine. But after we came across Nathan’s social media and I shared it with him, that small spark of curiosity turned into genuine excitement.

Why We Chose SmarterKorean

It was important to me that my son, who presents as white, understands that brilliance and language mastery come in Black and brown faces too. Since starting with Nate, Chance’s confidence has grown—not just in Korean, but in himself. Learning at his own pace has been essential for his development, especially since some things take more time for him to grasp. And that’s perfectly okay.

We truly recommend SmarterKorean to anyone, regardless of age. Nate is kind, engaging, and patient. We appreciate him deeply.

-Danielle & Chance

My daughter wanted to learn the Korean language ever since discovering KPop a few years ago.

Smarter Korean was everything we were looking for and she adores Smarter Korean; this program has completely transformed her Korean skills in only a month. Throughout the week, I constantly find her studying her notes and doing all she can to improve. I found her placing sticky notes on everything she could find in her room, which is now entirely covered in Korean vocab. She loves this program and is always looking forward to classes and challenging herself outside of class. She learned to read and write Hangul within her first couple of classes, and is currently formulating full sentences and can understand some Korean as well. Nate is a very amazing teacher who dedicates a lot of time, ensuring that his students enjoy and get a ton out of each lesson.  My daughter has so much fun in this class and never stops pushing herself to strive in Korean, and this is thanks to the support system Smarter Korean offers.  Smarter Korean has entirely emerged my daughter in Korean Language and culture and taught her so much in such little time. We love love, love Smarter Korean, and plan on being apart of it for a very long time.
